Cosplay Update!!!

Wow, it's been a couple of months. Right now I am working on losing about 25 lbs then I am going to start working on a cosplay. The cosplay I'm going to be doing is none other than the Snow Queen Elsa from Disney's Frozen. I have chosen this character due to her uncertainty towards her powers and how she doesn't know if she can control them. I, like everyone else who saw the movie, can relate to her feelings about everything. My uncertainty has always been my weight. I have always been over weight, granted I'm not obese but I do need to lose weigh for me to be comfortable  where Elsa's costume. And what better way to celebrate this upcoming victory than to cosplay Elsa. I have uploaded a photo of which outfit I'm going to make on this blog. I will also post my progress on weight loss, not that you guys want to hear about it, but it does help me become motivated. I have not given up on Little Sister from Bioshock 2 but that is on the back burner for right now. I will also post my progress as well as photoes on this blog when I get the chance.

progress on 2/18/2014

I know I haven't posted anything here resonantly but I have not given up on making this cosplay. I am trying to loose weight before I make the outfit so I do not look like a chubby little sister. I started at 132 and now am down to 125.2. I have about 15 more lbs to go and I hope I can achieve that may mid-late March. That should give me enough time to create the Little Sister cosplay. Progress

So I have decided not to dye the fabric and to just find some really dark blue fabric for the cosplay outfit of Little Sister for cosplay. I have also decided to use a different pattern but from the same batch of patterns for the Alice outfit. Here is a picture.

 
The pattern I am using is pattern C except for the sleeves. I will probably shorten the skirt and use the sleeves from pattern B as well. I am going to use a different patter for the collar to give it that little sister look. Here is the reference picture that I am using. I will have to make the white piece for the top of the shirt and I will use the same pattern for the skirt to make the apron but not attach it to the dress. I am going to tie the bow separately and attach the apron and bow to the dress with buttons or with snaps. I will probably go with snaps.

Little Sister cosplay progress

So far, I have found my fabric for my little sister cosplay. All I have to do is dye it to look darker. Maybe someone can help.


This is the fabric right here. It is a grey-white color with strips. I am needing to dye it to match the little sister's dress color. I am also using this pattern below. It's the Alice type dress but in Misses. If someone can help me out with the dye please let me know. I have choose a denim or navy blue dye. Thanks.



Intro

This blog is where I will be posting my cosplays (when I make them) and my sewing projects. Check weekly to see post. First project will probably be something simple like a pillow or such. First cosplay will probably, hopefully, be Little Sister from Bioshock 2.
